Our Story
In 2019, Applemania Cook Bradford established Teacher B.A.E, Inc. to unify educators, practice self-care, and empower communities beyond the classroom.Teacher B.A.E, Inc. is a federally certified 501(c)3 nonprofit organization for educator-professionals. Teacher B.A.E (Balanced and Educated) centers its focus on unifying educators, strengthening the community and promoting the importance of self-care through a balanced and educated approach.

As those with the responsibility for educating the next generation, teachers have always worked under great pressure. Teachers often struggle with getting burnt out from high-stakes testing, large class sizes, limited resources, excessive workload, and lack of recognition.

From experience, Applemania identified that like most mothers, teachers lacked prioritization of themselves and their needs. As she began to have "teachersations" with colleagues and administrators, she wanted to establish a support group to help each other realize the importance of self-care as she believes that this is a vital component to balance and being the best version of yourself.

Balanced And Educated, Applemania continues to explore synergies to be able to educate and guide educators in understanding that self-care is selfish and that's ok!

VISION
"Empower beyond the classroom." We recognize that quality education starts with being healthy and whole. Studies show that 51% of teachers fear for their mental and physical health in a career as an educator. The primary goal of Teacher B.A.E, Inc. is to unify educators, empower families and communities beyond the classroom and demystify guilt associated with making self a priority.
